Sometimes an early morning on the National Mall is good for the soul. It’s quiet, free from tourist and so peaceful — a great spot for an engagement photo session. Besides a few very ambitious runners, Adam, Megan and I had the National Mall to ourselves. We spent most of our time near the Lincoln Memorial, one of the best spots in the entire city at sunrise. Gorgeous scenery aside, I really enjoyed photographing this couple. They are so genuine and their love for each other was so apparent. We are looking forward to their wedding next January~
How they met: Megan had already been living here for a couple years when Adam moved to DC. Adam’s cousin, Jackie, mentioned he should get in touch with Megan because they “might get along”. Jackie asked Adam if he wanted to contact Megan via Facebook or e-mail, and in true Adam fashion, he just said, “Um, no. I’ll just call her.” They had their first date at Velocity Fire in November of 2009 and have been going strong ever since.
